Admissions Requirements
Excelsior’s AAS in Nursing program is open to students who work in clinical settings and meet certain minimum requirements. Our admissions counselors can answer any questions you have about your eligibility. To apply, you must:
- Show proof of an active and unencumbered U.S. LPN/LVN licensure, paramedic certification, or equivalent military credential.
- Be employed in a setting that requires direct patient care, under the supervision of an individual with a health care credential who evaluates your clinical practice. You must also have completed more than 200 hours of employment in this setting.
- Provide a Verification of Health Care Experience form signed by your clinical supervisor.
- Achieve an official Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) score of at least 58.7%.
